Kum Yang Co. Ltd. annually produces more than 30000 tons of CELLCOM blowing agents. Besides that, it is one of the most dynamically expanding Korean companies engaged in polymer additives production.

The range of blowing agents which we can offer includes the following:

  • Chemical blowing agents (powder);
  • Masterbatches based on blowing agents;
  • Catalysts for chemical blowing agents;
  • Polymeric microspheres.

There are seven key materials used as blowing agents in the world:

  • Azodicarbonamide (ADC);
  • 4,4-Oxybis (benzenesulfonylhydrazide) (OBSH);
  • P-toluenesulfonylhydrazide (TSH);
  • P-tolyenesulfonylsemicarbazide (PTSS);
  • Dinitrosopentamethylenetetramine (DNPT);
  • Sodium bicarbonate (SBC);
  • 5-phenyltetrazole (PT).

The main material is Azodicarbonamide which is well-known as a leader among blowing agents. Its consumption is about 85% of all foaming additives used in Western Europe. This compound is applied for foaming of the major part of thermoplastic and rubber materials, as well as for a wide range of processing technologies.

Advantages of blowing agents:

  • Decrease of weight and density of the final product which is beneficial for transportation, handling and installation;
  • Increase of output volume of production per unit of polymer which is positive both from the economical point of view and for environment protection;
  • Elimination of shrinkage of the product;
  • Make material more stable under the exposure of high temperatures during the processing stage;
  • Reduction of unit price;
  • Dosage of blowing agent is between 0,05-20% of the polymer weight

Application of blowing agents:

  • Facing wall materials (sheets, panels);
  • PVC profiles;
  • Foamed mats, heat-insulation;
  • PVC compound for shoe sole;
  • Three-layer non-pressure foamed pipes;
  • PVC plastisol for foamed wallpapers.
